This past week, a project was kicked off to install new awnings at the Downtown City Markets. The City of Roanoke, Downtown Roanoke Inc., and a $50,000 infrastructure grant teamed up to make it happen. Not only will they give the City Market a fresh look, but they will also provide the infrastructure to support local markets.
