Last week, we asked if you wanted a casino at the Berglund Center—and the votes are in.

63% of you said no.

Since then, Roanoke’s Vice Mayor Terry McGuire announced, “At this time, I’m not a supporter of the project.”

Who knows where this project will land, but we will keep you updated.

🐶 Salem Animal Hospital Celebrates 80 Years

Salem Animal Hospital marked its 80th birthday this past Saturday with a ribbon-cutting for its brand-new 9,000-square-foot facility. The upgraded space is packed with modern tech to keep local pets happy and healthy for years to come.

We’re all ready for those political ads to end—good news, Election Day is almost here! Here’s where and when you can cast your ballot early:

This past weekend, Kirk & Soul held its soft opening at 312 2nd St., Roanoke, serving up some of its signature favorites. This upcoming week, they will release a lunch menu before opening full-time.
