Nothing says spooky season like a haunted house. We rounded up some of the best local haunted houses for you to check out.

🏗️ Huge Milestone for RCCTC

Roanoke County Career and Technology Center hit a massive milestone in September by “topping out” the project. Like many of you, we did not really know what that meant, but with a quick Google search, we learned that it refers to the completion of a building’s highest point.

The project is expected to be completed by late 2026 or early 2027. The new 123,000 sq ft facility will replace the BCAT, preparing Roanoke students with industry-ready skills.

The old Awful Arthur’s spot downtown has a new life coming—The Haven. It’s set to be an “urban social escape” with food, drinks, and yes, the pool tables are staying. They aim to open by the end of the year.

🛏️ Reid’s Fine Furnishings Hits 30 Years

A local favorite in Grandin Village just hit a major milestone! Reid’s Fine Furnishings opened its doors on October 1, 1995, and has been keeping Roanoke cozy and stylish ever since.
